  1. Oh my stars, I ADORE that movie!!! “Look at those snappers!!” The bad guy always admiring the crocs. Haha! So many good parts to their adventure. One of my faves is “little mule”, and the owner! When he discovers she is THE Joan Wilder I die laughing! And the village men’s reactions! Ah, such a good one. Ok, enough movie reminiscing. All your books are fabulous so I’m sure this one is no different.

  2. I would love to read and review this book

  3. I’ve no quote, but a bit of trivia.
The mountain scenes where Joan is on a bus.. those were filmed in the state of Durango in Mexico. My siblings, mom and I rode a bus through those mountains to get from Torreón, Coahuila to Tijuana when returning to the US from an extended stay with family.

Our bus did not have animal passengers, but the bus driver did pick up more passengers than the bus had seats after leaving the bus station.

I remembered my favorite thought from the movie:
Joan’s editor calls her a “world-class hopeless romantic”
Joan replies, “No. Hopeful. Hopeful romantic.”

  4. I’d read and review anything you write, Heather! The South American characters always calling her by her full author name “Joan Wilder,” and how in awe they are of her romance books. Cracks me up each and every time. Great movie.

  5. No quote! But I love free books! I follow you on fb

  6. I have really enjoyed your other books. Looking forward to this.

  9. Yay! Another book by you! I can’t wait to read this one too.

  10. I love all of your books. If I don’t win a chance to a free one I will buy one! 😀 Sorry, I never saw Romancing the Stone movie. Didn’t go to movies very often. But I truly love the Ladies of Defiance books. Thanks for writing such great books. I truly appreciate your hard work and I enjoy each and every one of them. God Bless you Heather. 🙂

  11. I love the stories you write and would be honored to receive a free copy..

I think this was from the movie. It might have been from a sequel? Sharon Stone character asked an aboriginal man in appropriate garb if the bat he was eating tasted good. He said “Nah, needs garlic.”

  12. LYDIA L BROOKS

Love all of the Crocodile Dundee movies, but have no quote today; however, would absolutely love to read ANYTHING you write. Love your books!
