A man who wants to rule in Hell. A woman who wants to find her faith again…

Charles McIntyre owns everything and everyone in the lawless, godless mining town of Defiance. When three good, Christian sisters from his beloved South show up stranded, alone, and offering to open a “nice” hotel, he is intrigued enough to let them stay…especially since he sees feisty middle sister Naomi as a possible conquest. But Naomi, angry with God for widowing her, wants no part of Defiance or the saloon-owning, prostitute-keeping Mr. McIntyre. It would seem however, that God has gone to elaborate lengths to bring them together. The question is, “Why?” Does God really have a plan for each and every life?

Written with gritty, but not gratuitous, realism uncharacteristic of historical Christian fiction, A Lady in Defiance gives a nod to both Pride and Prejudice and Redeeming Love. Based on true events, it is also an ensemble piece that deftly weaves together the relationships of the three sisters and the rowdy residents of Defiance.

MEN MAKE MISTAKES. GOD WILL FORGIVE THEM. WILL THEIR WOMEN?

Charles McIntyre built the lawless, godless mining town of Defiance practically with his bare hands … and without any remorse for the lives he destroyed along the way. Then a glimpse of true love, both earthly and heavenly, changed him. The question is, how much? Naomi Miller is a beautiful, decent woman. She says she loves McIntyre, that God does, too, and the past is behind them now. But McIntyre struggles to believe he’s worth saving … worth loving. Unfortunately, the temptations in Defiance only reinforce his doubts.

Billy Page abandoned Hannah Frink when he discovered she was going to have his baby … and now he can’t live with himself. Or without her. Determined to prove his love, he leaves his family and fortune behind and journeys to Defiance. Will Hannah take Billy back or give him what he deserves for the betrayal?

Gritty and realistic, this is the story of real life and real faith in Defiance.

The sequel to the highly acclaimed, best-selling western romance A Lady in Defiance!

  1. I could put my book, that I’m reading, my bottle of water, and snacks. And my sunglasses, since I love to read at the lake, that’s behind my house.

  2. Great for putting books in!!

  3. Books.

  4. Debbie Clatterbuck

Books, books, and ….more books. I love to read.

  5. I would put books in it!

  6. Would love to win this tote.

  7. Books, of course! We’re always on the look out for tote bags to take to the library. Our library has a checkout period of 4 weeks so the kids and I load up once a month and then only have to make occasional trips to pick up ordered items. Tote bags & backpacks are a must for library trips!

  8. My Kindle, paper and pen (for writing ideas or lists), and a few art supplies.

  9. I’d store books and snacks! Thanks for the giveaway!

    Blessings,
    Edye

  10. Books, groceries, beer…LOL Lots of things!

  11. I would use it to hold books, snacks and a bottle of water.

  12. I could carry my books and my kindle inside.

  13. Obviously, I could stick books in this bag, but I could also use it to hold crochet projects, as a reusable shopping bag, or as a car bag for trips (to hold snacks and things I may need along the drive when my husband is driving).

  14. Sounds like a fantastic book. I love the cover. I always have a tote bag packed with things I need to have with me whenever I leave the house. Oh, and another next to my recliner. I even take one with me when I go fishing

  15. I keep a book or two and a notepad, a pen or two, sometimes my kindle, some peppermint candy. If my husband is with me then I will have snacks for him, extra handkerchief and his oxymeter, an oxygen mask and adapter if we are headed for a doctor appointment or emergency room. Occasionally I will have crochet thread and needle. I keep a separate tote bag for items I need to take to my mom and dad.

  16. I would stuff some books in this awesome tote bag! 😀

  17. I would pack stuff in it for when we head to the park. Some snacks, drinks-maybe a book for me and my baby that I’ll have this summer 🙂

  18. Books and Pens and Calendars and Stuff for my kids when we go places Thanks for the chance to win

  19. I messed up my facebook share for today here it is and not the one I put in the rafflecopter

  20. I carry my e reader, my lunch and some of my everyday stuff to work each day. This would be handy.

  21. My iPad which is chock full of a bunch of my favorite books. I would also through in a paperback that I am enjoying. Water would be in there too. More to find a fun place for an adventure.

  22. I would put all the items I carry with me. I always have my tablet, a few books I am reading, and if I am reading one of the books on my Kindle-that also.

    Judy Cox

  23. This would be great to carry around my table and its equipment in the car.
