A Lady in Defiance BOOK #Giveaway #LadiesinDefiance
Love is in the air….. Defiance style!
…IT’S HIS TOWN AND HE DARES GOD TO STEP A FOOT IN IT.
Charles McIntyre owns everything and everyone in the lawless, godless mining town of Defiance. When three good, Christian sisters from his beloved South show up stranded, alone, and offering to open a “nice” hotel, he is intrigued enough to let them stay…especially since he sees feisty middle sister Naomi as a possible conquest. But Naomi, angry with God for widowing her, wants no part of Defiance or the saloon-owning, prostitute-keeping Mr. McIntyre. It would seem however, that God has gone to elaborate lengths to bring them together. The question is, “Why?” Does God really have a plan for each and every life?
Written with gritty, but not gratuitous, realism uncharacteristic of the historical Christian fiction genre, A Lady in Defiance gives a nod to both Pride and Prejudice and Redeeming Love. The story, based on true events, is an “ensemble” piece that deftly weaves together the relationships of the three sisters and the rowdy residents of Defiance.

No, I really don’t have a favorite western anything.
Yet, your email is Jozywails. LOL!
I don’t have a favorite.
I find your novels most interesting in that you have history, intrigue, God, and human nature all rolled into one. The characters seem so real that you can smell the aromas of the kitchen, the miners as they come in for a meal, and the walks down the boardwalks, quiet talks with others, and even scuffles in the wrong part of town.. Great read! When is the next one coming out? God Bless
OH, my, J, thank you so much! I really, really appreciate the kind words. So glad you enjoyed your trips to Defiance. Look for a promise in Defiance, Spring 2016!
I love the series Deadwood and Calamity Jane was my favorite character.
I would have loved Deadwood to death if not for the language. But a great show!
I always liked Little house on the prairie.
Ah, who didn’t? Have you watched When Calls the Heart? Very similar.
I don’t have a favorite.
thank you for posting
My favorite western book is 60 Acres and a Bride by Regina Jennings, followed by Mary Connealy’s Kincaid Brothers series.
You know, 60 Acres is on my TBR list. I’ve always heard good things about it!
I love any western romance books!
You and me both!
Does Shanghai Noon count as a western? Hearing Jackie Chan say his name is Chon Wang cracks me up everytime (and yeah, he fooled me the first time)
Counts in my book! Just because it’s funny doesn’t mean it’s not a Western and I love Jackie!
I really don’t have a favorite anymore. When I was young, I loved all the western cartoons and shows.
Judy Cox
I know what you mean, Judy. They just don’t make Westerns like they used to.
I remember growing up, I used to watch Bonanza with my Grandma. 🙂
Bonanza. One of my faves. The three brothers in Grace be a Lady are inspired by them!
I loved Maverick when I was a little girl.
Wagon Train?
Oh, good one! With Ward Bond. Loved him.
I can’t narrow down a favorite! But I love westerns, historical fiction!
I have the same problem! LOL
