Grace be a Lady BOOK #GIVEAWAY #LadiesInDefiance
Happy New Year to all and blessings to you for a wonderful 2016!
I’m joining up with http://thekidsdidit.com & http://themommyisland.blogspot.com to offer another fun blog hop here at my site. There are LOTS of exciting items that you can WIN!
Banished to the dusty cow town of Misery for an alleged affair, Grace Hendrick wants nothing more than to get her son away from the clutches of his abusive father Bull, back in Chicago. But if she dares to return home, Bull has promised Grace she’ll never see their son again. She has no choice but to accept her situation—temporarily. Struggling to figure a way to survive, Grace refuses to consider prostitution. The hamlet of Misery, however, isn’t brimming over with jobs for respectable women. Fueled by hate and desperation, she concocts a shocking plan to find work. After all, what does she have to lose?
Thad Walker is the middle son of the oldest, most successful cattle baron in Wyoming and he always puts the ranch first. One chance meeting with Grace Hendrick, though, batters his focus like a hail storm in July. When Grace’s brother Greg is hired by a local widow, Thad figures the kid is the straightest path to Grace’s heart. As friendship and love blossom, so do the lies, some in unexpected hearts. When deceit catches fire and threatens everything Grace and Thad hold dear, will love conquer all?
Set amidst the bloody Johnson County Range War of 1890’s Wyoming, Misery may well prove more explosive than the mean streets of Chicago … and Grace is right in the middle of the fight.

Thank you. It is a different story, but I hope that sets it apart and still makes it enjoyable!
If I could pick a location for a book to take place, I’d pick Greenland.
I will keep that in mind!
I would set my story in Texas ir Colorado.
Of all the traveling I’ve done, I’ve only been to Dallas. Gotta see more.
I would set my story in Texas and Colorado and Tennessee.
I’m all for Colorado! Three of my books are set there!
If I had a choice every book would be set in Vegas, baby, Vegas! It can accommodate everything from Old West to contemporary.
Hmmmm. There’s a thought!
If I could choose a location for a book, I would choose Tulsa. We don’t get enough attention and we were at the forefront of the oil industry (first well was in Chelsea, OK) and pioneers in the aviation industry. Bartlesville, OK has the only skyscraper ever built by Frank Lloyd Wright and Tulsa has the 2nd largest collection of art deco architecture in the US. More languages are spoken in OK and we have the largest number of native tribes of anywhere in the US. We also have more horses per capita than even Kentucky.
You must work for the Chamber of Commerce. If you don’t, you should! And those are great tips!
I’d set my story in Okinawa, Japan.
Dianna
Makes me think of the Karate Kid!
I would pick Iowa. That’s where I’m from and it’s rarely used as a setting.
Ah, love among the cornfields!
I would choose Spain 🙂
Norway, I can’t remember ever reading a book in that setting. I have read about the characters coming to America from Norway, but not the whole story taking place there. There may be some out there but either I haven’t seen them or they may be a genre that I don’t read.

That is an interesting observation. I have read several books about immigrants from there!
Somewhere in the wild, wild west! I love this storyline!
You go, girl! I agree!
Colorado, love the mountains!
Most of my books are set in your lovely state!
Anywhere in Wisconsin!! Because that’s where I live!!
And I hear WI is very pretty with a culture all its own!
I enjoy reading books set in far off places like Scotland.
I have a dear friend from Scotland!
I’ll pick Santa Barbara for my book setting. Of course, I’ll have to go there and research the area first. ;o)
There you go. Great place!
I would choose Paris
Ah, yes. Love that city.
I would love to
win this, love the cover. Covers are very important tome.
Forgot to mention where……out west somewhere.
A woman after my own heart!
I would agree. I think a cover has to tell you some relevant info about the book!
Montana would be a great place..
Montana is awesome!
Iceland!
Hmmmm. I’ve seen a Western set in Norway. I’ll give that some thought! 🙂
Utah
LOTS of history in that state!
I would choose Louisiana, even NC or SC. I love beach settings too.
I am a 7th generation Southerner and I love the mountains of NC, but the beach has its attractions, for sure!
Somewhere in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is isolate but so pretty.
I haven’t written anything set there … yet. You could check out some books by Carrie Fancett Pagels. She’s from the UP. 🙂
